    Questions people ask

Is the symptom check a diagnosis?

No. It's general guidance to help you decide how soon to be seen and what to ask about. Only the dentist can tell what's wrong, after looking at your teeth. If you have swelling with fever, or swelling spreading towards your eye or neck, don't wait for a booking: call, or go to a hospital emergency department.

Do I need to book, or can I just walk in?

The clinic hasn't published a booking rule. Calling or sending a WhatsApp message first is the safest way to be seen without a wait, especially in the evening sitting.

Is the clinic open on Sunday?

As listed on Justdial, yes, for the morning sitting only: 11 am to 2 pm. There's no Sunday evening sitting.

    What does it cost?

The clinic hasn't published fees, and costs depend on what the tooth needs. Ask on the phone or at your first visit; the dentist will explain the options before starting.

What is a root canal, in simple words?

Inside each tooth is soft living tissue, the nerve. When decay reaches it, the tooth aches badly. A root canal cleans out that infected inside, fills it and seals it, so the tooth can stay instead of being pulled out. It usually needs a cap afterwards. Adult root canals aren't on the clinic's public listings, so ask: the dentist checks the tooth, explains the options and says whether it can be done here.

My gums bleed when I brush. Should I stop brushing there?

No, keep brushing gently. Bleeding usually means hardened deposits (tartar) are irritating the gum, which brushing can't remove. A cleaning at the clinic takes it off.

    Can I bring my child?

Yes. Children's teeth are on the clinic's list, including treatment that saves a badly decayed milk tooth.
